This January marked my second year in San Antonio and my very first in our new home, complete with a backyard that begs to be explored and trails winding through the neighborhood. Inspired by this fresh start, I set out on a Month Challenge to discover what moments January would offer through my lens.
I first shared these snapshots on Instagram, but now I am excited to bring them here, launching this photoblog to document my rediscovery of the world through light, texture, and presence. Alongside new captures, I will also share some photos from the past. It feels like the perfect moment to share these glimpses with you and the world.
I mostly shoot with a Nikon D600 and a Nikon 1 J5, and occasionally my iPhone 14 Pro — a mix of photos from older digital cameras and modern technology.
I hope you find as much joy in viewing these photos as I found in capturing them.
